Haley Buckalew

Yes hello. My name is Haley Buckalew. I have been a stylist for 3 years and only grow to love it more each day. Before Cosmetology, I was majoring in Milling Science at KSU. I come from an Ag based home and in my free time I love going home to see all of our animals and tending to all of my plants. Cosmetology was a fleeting thought that most said I shouldn’t pursue because I was “too smart and would never make enough to sustain myself.” Flash forward and I have never been happier and more motivated to dive in. I feel like I have found a family I am not too loud and passionate and messy for in this industry and especially in Pulp Riot. I want to show others that they have a place too no matter how outcast they feel. I am home when I am formulating and mixing. I want others to feel at home too. Educating is another avenue I never looked at but I find myself wanting to help and inspire others when they are in a rut like so many have done for me. This industry has truly saved me and made me a better, more compassionate human. I just hope to draw others into the fold and bring them home where they can blossom. We are all here to create and I want to help build an industry that is proud to create and inspire.
