About me
Hi I'm Heather. I'm 45 and a displaced worker due to covid. My plan is to prevent myself from ever being unemployed again. I found the area of study that best matches my interests which include: skin, beauty, cosmetics, skin care, and that is an Esthetician. I am currently a student at Douglas J. Aveda working toward that goal. I'm beyond excited for my future, foe the first time in my life, I know what I want for me, and I'm going for it.

Why I'm here
I'm here seeking eligibility for any possible grants or scholarships available to me, to help cover the enormous expense of tuition. I'm currently not working, I was laid off due to covid in 2020. But life doesn't slow down when the times get tough. I've been a single mom for almost 12 years, and entering into fall 2021, my oldest son is entering his senior year of college, and my 17 year old has entered his senior year of high-school. We are hoping I can find any available assistance for someone such as myself, that is truly trying to fix her situation, long term. I'm committed to earning my esti license and have already started my company I will provide services under, upon graduation (Above Average Beauty, LLC). Any tuition assistance consideration is beyond appreciated. Thank you so much 💗
