The reason I am here now in the hair community is all because my mom. I've always had a thing for hair since I was in middle school when I first chop off all my hair to go natura, I tought myself how to maintain and do different style wit my natural curly hair and learned so much more. While in school I was focused on being a nurse but my mom never thought I was the type of person to be able to work for someone else. She pushed me to push further into because she could see that is what I really inspired to do. At first I wasn't big on the idea but I tried anyway. Finally at 18 my senior year of high school I jumped into doing locs, even though I could do many other things locs caught my heart. It was a hard,very slow,and discouraging moment at first because I didn't have anyone coming to me even though I only charged $30-$45 but I always had this one client always come no matter what from the rough start to my best. He always came in and challenged what I could do. He pushed for me to up my prices and to see my worth. He will always be my start clien. My girl bestie Paige is always a big part of why I'm here ,she is always down for whatever I wanted to try. She let me start her locs 3 times and you knw 3rd times the charm. She alone let me play with color in her head even Though she should have .(Her hair is well taken care of and healthy now) All this to say I grew to have a big love for doing locs I was not the best at first but I pushed and pushed to get better no matter what, I foucsed on neatest and speed later. I focused on growing as a stylist and not the amount of people I had coming in and out. I have a love for locs that no one understand. Im here because My mom,bestie,and start clien. My drive and love to do better and be better in this community of the hair world. I end this to say we all have to start somewhere even if its at the way bottom never give up on yourself because your time will come❤️ I here to be the best I can be, to show the love I have for doing locs,to be something big one day.
