Hope Medwin

Hope Medwin (they/them) is a queer hairdresser, wig, & makeup artist for film & stage born in NC. They received their cosmetology license before transferring to University of North Carolina School of the Arts and obtaining their BFA. They’re always striving to continue their education and add more skills to their roster as an artist. Their latest shipwig build was inspired by environmental impact within aquatic sea life and chose to use second-hand material to decorate the interior & exterior of the cage. Hope was the Wig, Hair, & Makeup Designer for the  main stage drama ‘Fairview’ written by Jackie Sibblies Drury and directed by Jackie Alexander. Hope served as a wig & makeup assistant on Sky Dexter’s film ‘Born This Way’. Hair & makeup Key for Max McGillivray’s wrestler film ‘Chokehold’ that was submitted into Sundance film festival.
