Hey, my name is Isabela, Izzy for short. I have been doing hair for about 4 years now, going on 5. I kind of ended up doing hair, not by accident, but It definitely wasn't planned. I originally had gone to school for criminal justice, and was SET on working eventually for the DEA, I was four credit hours away from graduating with an associates in criminal justice; that was what I wanted to do. I was sitting in a police administration class and the group talk for that day was the number one trauma on the job. As the discussion furthered itself, I realized that I would not be able to deal with what happened, and be okay. That was the very moment that I realized I wanted to do hair, and makeup. I had the standard questions about starting about not being good enough, and all that but I went ahead and enrolled at john a logan just to try it, and in the process I fell in love with what I was doing. I graduated and as I went on with doing hair, I realized that I LOVED doing vivid colors, and colors that were just different, they sparked something in me, and to be quite honest I was terrified of using lightener. Few years had passed and a salon switch, I realized I absolutely LOVE doing blonding services. The reason being is I love a good challenge. Nothing to me is more exciting than when someone walks in that their head is a COMPLETE color correction, especially with blonde! To me, its just SO exciting and really gets my brain going. I definitely love doing color and making my guests so HAPPY with their hair! I love to teach also while I color, style, or cut! I think the biggest reward of all is whenever my client gets that huge boost of confidence after I get done doing their hair and they feel like they can take on the world. In all honesty to me, that is the best thing of my career, the happiness and the confidence that radiates from my guests once we are done. it makes me so happy to have them message me out of the blue, with how happy they are that they were able to recreate the style that we had made when they were in my chair. its honestly adorable, my guests are like family to me and I love everyone that sits in my chair. I feel like my passion about hair and makeup really translates into every head that I touch. I want everyone to feel passionate about something as I do about my career, I love my career, I love what I do and not many people can say that, but I genuinely do. I always want the best for my guests, and sometimes that's not me though, I don't click with everyone, and I know that, but the people I really do click with, we create a bond and its so special to me. I just want to leave a positive impact on this world, and if I can do that through doing your hair, I would do it 1000 times.
