Expressionism through self image

Hi my name is Isabell Kohn! I am in school at Gene Juraez Academy in Federal Way, Washington. I strive to live a life of creativity, love, and nourishment. I grew up in the small county of Grays Harbor. There, I lived the majority of my life in poverty. In my childhood, I was always searching for outlets to express myself through artistry and to share it with the world. At the ripe age of 8, I remember staying with friends and traveling with dollar tree vibrant pink eye shawdow, cheeta print hair extensions and ready to makeover everyone. There are excessive stories of me rummaging through bathroom cabinets for hair products, pins and old makeup from my mother so that I could create something beautiful, or so I believed with confidence. In my youth I discovered that expressionism through the self imagine was absolutely something I longed for. Without the resources of expensive products I had a lot of creativity when reinvisioning everything and everyone around me. My inner child thrives as I continue on through the rabbit hole, finding opportunities to give guest's their own understanding for vibrancy through their acceptance of self.

I am here to help guest's feel more inlove and at home within themselves. Being able to see a reflection of your inner self presented effectively outwardly is extremely therapeutic. I am here to allow guest's to feel safe and heard with however they feel through expression. A guest's smile at a newly shifted hair color, makeup application, or understanding through a soothing conversation is why I have chosen this line of work. It is important for one to feel they are who they are on the outside, without judgement. And I am here to present them with just that!
