About me
My name is Jacquelyn but I go by Jacq (jack). I'm 27 years old from Houston, TX. I'm a Texas native. You could call me a "yall'ternative". I am married with 2 dogs and a 1.5 year old boy named Fox. I work at ooh la la salon in a city outside of Houston. Growing up i was raised by an attist mother who taught me everything art and creative freedom. So when it came to my hair career i wanted to incorporate that into what i do everyday. I love doing vivid colors and cutting most. I specialize in alternative cuts (i.e. shags, mullets, razor cutting, "scene and emo" styles) and vivid colors.

Why I'm here
It has been a dream of mine since the beginning of my hair career to work with a vivids brand and make that my life. Of course people always tell you that the dream is "unrealistic" or "you can't just build a career off of funky colors", but over the years I have worked really hard and dabbled in a little bit of everything. From color to cutting and perms to balayage. But my heart is always drawn back to vivids and the alternative side of the industry. Being able to be creative and use my artistic side is very important to me as an artist. When using the semis it gives me the freedom to paint on the hair just as you would on a canvas. I want to be able to give my guests more than just a flat one tone color that they could acheive anywhere. When im using the semis im able to create a custom formula for my guest and add multiple colors and tones to give them something that no one else has. Everyone wants to feel unique and one of a kind and with pulp riot, that is never a worry. I love the whole idea and passion behind pulp riot and it would make my dreams come true to be able to work with the brand.
