About me
Hi! My name is Jessica Berens and I have been attending The Salon Professional Academy since March and will be graduating from TSPA beginning of February and transferring over to JK Hair Salon and Co. to assist the owner Jamie. A little about me, I graduated from Hamilton High School in 2024 and I have always had a passion for the beauty industry and I love how creative I am able to be with this industry. I have always been creative with doing my own hair and over the past year I have been shadowing my older sister and she has really led me down this path of going to cosmetology school. I am very passionate when it comes to working with hair, skin and nails and I am looking forward to helping future clients achieve their hair, skin and nail goals.

Why I'm here
For the past year I have been practicing updos, shadowing my sister and paying attention to detail when my sister is doing my hair, I am here because I love doing my own hair and I love to make people feel and look confident with themselves, I see how happy people are when a cosmetologist transforms their hair into what makes them confident, I am hoping one day I am able to do the same. I am hoping to learn a lot more about wedding hair, hair coloring and men's cuts. After graduating cosmetology school I am planning on taking an extension installation class, I will also be doing an apprenticeship in Grand Rapids. I am most excited for learning hair coloring, updos and joining my sister next year doing wedding hair. The atmosphere at TSPA Holland is so amazing, the first day I came here for a tour I felt very welcomed and I immediately knew that I wanted to attend cosmetology school at TSPA. I looked forward to learning all things cosmetology!
