For the past ten years, I’ve built a successful career in Human Resources, rising to an HR Director position. However, before embarking on that journey, I had a different dream: when I graduated high school, I wanted to attend cosmetology school. At the time, my parents encouraged me to pursue a more traditional career path, one that could offer financial stability. So, I followed their advice, earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and spent the next decade in HR.

But as I watched others thrive in the beauty industry, I realized it was never too late to follow my true passion. In April 2024, I gained my certification as a professional makeup artist and began working on the side, offering makeup services to clients. This experience reignited my love for beauty and confirmed that I was on the right path.

On January 13th, I made the bold decision to leave my HR role behind and start cosmetology school. Now, I’m excited to be on this new journey and am actively seeking a position where I can immerse myself further in the beauty industry while continuing my education. I’m ready to bring my dedication, work ethic, and creativity to a field that has always felt like home.
