Joann Maraone

Hello and welcome!

My name is Joann, I have been a dedicated and passionate hairstylist/educator for 30+ years.

Early in my career I was drawn to education. I have trained multiple salon assistants and had 2 successful apprenticeships. I worked in a salon while teaching for Sebastian. I taught product knowledge and color classes throughout Metro Detroit and assisted at all local hair shows. Shortly after, I transitioned to Wella, where I began as a technical specialist. I continued teaching product knowledge classes, hair coloring, hair cutting and seasonal updates to salons all over the state. I worked at all hair shows in the state of Michigan, ABS and the Alternative Hair show as well. I quickly advanced to be a part of the Trend Vision team and was trained directly by Christopher and Sonya Dove. I also had opportunities where I was the guest artist at a few hair shows in Detroit and Des Moines. During this time I also was the 1st runner up in the Color Touch Colorist of the year competition and won a cruise to Bermuda with the Doves with education focused on photo shoots.
I also spent 2 years teaching for PureOlogy. Since then, I have been renting space in a salon and running my business the past 18 years. 

I have been extremely fortunate to have the experiences and education throughout my career. My passion to help educate fellow hairstylists and future professionals has only grown over the years. I look forward to sharing my experience and knowledge with stylists for years to come.
