About me
My name is Jovie Dexter, and I am a 17-year-old cosmetology student with a growing passion for alternative hairstyles. I’m especially interested in vibrant color work and creative, unconventional cuts. I spend a lot of time practicing techniques, learning new trends, and building my skills so I can help people express their individuality through unique and artistic hair styling. My goal is to specialize in bold, alternative looks and continue developing as a stylist.

Why I'm here
I’m here because I want to be the stylist I wish I had growing up, someone who helps alternative people express themselves loudly, proudly, and creatively. I didn’t always have access to the styles or colors I dreamed of, so now I want to give that freedom to others. There’s nothing better than seeing someone look in the mirror after their hair is done and feel totally brand new. That moment is everything to me, and it’s exactly why I decided to turn this into a career. If I can help someone feel more “them,” then I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
