Julia Murphy

I have wanted to become a Redken Artist since I was 18 years old and learned about Redken's mission to bring science into the industry in the 60s. I have always felt like a bit of an oddball in the hair world because I'm not your typical "creative" type. My brain works in a very analytical and structured way, and I always thought it was odd that I didn't think the way the others around me did. With time I've come to find that the structure of science and principles of hair can be used along with creative freedom to create beautiful hair! Redken has made me feel like i can harness my structured, fact based thinking and combine it with creativity to create amazing results. Science is my passion, hair is my passion and Redken has found a beautiful way to combine the two. I have absolutely loved working behind the chair for the last 11 years, but when I began working with associates, I unlocked a new passion for sharing my knowledge with newer stylists and helping them to gain a new level of confidence behind the chair. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow with Redken and to share my experiences with more wondearful people along the journey!
