About me
Hello! I'm Julie Hoffman and I am a proud student at Aveda Fredric's Institute of Indianapolis. Pursuing a career in the beauty industry has given me so much confidence that I cannot wait to share with other people. I am a lover of art, music, fashion, and beauty. I have a very creative and eccentric soul, and I always love when my hair and makeup matches that part of myself. I do vocals for a hardcore band, which often feels like an emotional release. I view hair and beauty in a similar light; a step closer to showing how you feel on the inside can feel like an immense emotional relief. I hope I can bring this relief to people from all walks of life, including especially my fellow members of the queer community. All loving humans deserve to love themselves, and I am overjoyed to be in a field where I can bring that feeling to others.

Why I'm here
I love to learn. I want to learn more from professionals in this industry and put that information into the context of my own work. I have been cutting and dyeing my own hair for years, and I've learned a lot. I have given myself so much confidence in this process and I've realized that I would love nothing more than to extend that confidence to others. As a queer person, I aspire to specialize in gender affirming haircuts and styles. As a lover of color, I also dream of playing with fun dye and placement on bright-spirited individuals. Overall, I want to make a commitment to helping and loving others.
