Justina "Julye' Brown

Julye is a licensed cosmetologist, beauty entrepreneur, and industry leader based in Columbus, Ohio with over a decade of experience in the hair and beauty industry. She is the founder of Ju’Ellz Designz, a beauty brand and salon dedicated to healthy hair care, professional styling, and elevated beauty services.

Known for her versatility, Julye’s expertise spans natural hair care, hair extensions, color, barbering, makeup artistry, lashes, and nails, allowing her to deliver well-rounded beauty services while prioritizing hair health and client education. In addition to her work behind the chair, she has developed her own natural hair care product line, created to support healthy hair across a variety of textures and hair types.

Julye has built a reputation not only as a stylist but also as a leader within the beauty community. She currently serves as the Beauty Team Lead for the Hocking Hills Fashion Show, where she oversees the full beauty team, coordinating hairstylists and makeup artists to bring runway visions to life. Prior to this leadership role, she served for two years as the Makeup Lead for the show’s beauty team.

Her industry involvement also includes participation in Columbus Fashion Week as both a hairstylist and makeup artist, as well as recognition during her cosmetology training where she was runner-up in the Edwin Neill haircutting competition and selected to attend Beacon and NAHA in California.

Beyond the salon and stage, Julye is deeply committed to community impact and mentorship. She has partnered with organizations such as STAR House and Huckleberry House, providing clothing donations as well as free hair and beauty services for underserved youth. Her work reflects a strong belief that beauty and self-confidence should be accessible to everyone.

Julye continues to expand her professional footprint through business and community leadership. She is connected with organizations such as the Urban League and the Chamber of Commerce, using these platforms to grow her brand, build industry partnerships, and advocate for entrepreneurship within the beauty industry.

Her work has also received local recognition. Ju’Ellz Designz was ranked among the Top 5 salons in 2025 and Top 3 salons in the Northland Columbus area in 2026, highlighting the quality, professionalism, and client experience she brings to her business.

As both an artist and entrepreneur, Julye’s long-term vision is to continue growing her brand, expand her product line into major retail markets worldwide, and become a respected hair, beauty, and product educator, helping elevate the next generation of beauty professionals.
