Hair is and has always been my passion, your hair is my canvas! I started my hair journey at the age 40! Something I've dreamt of doing my whole life. I remember getting my hair done in my early adulthood in salons and always was enamored by watching all the hairstylists. I'm wanted to be just like them! They were rockstars in my eyes!!! Being a single mom at the time I didn't have the courage to take the leap into realizing my dreams as I needed to provide for my son. Instead I worked corporate knowing I had a steady income and most importantly health insurance for my family. I was in sales and oftentimes would find myself taking my lunch break in my car parked outside a local beauty school that had floor to ceiling windows and watched the magic happen right before my eyes. I longingly dreamt of a day that I would be the one of many taking that step to become a hairstylist. Fast forward to 39, I met a wonderful man who helped me realize my dream! Once my son was a senior in high school and was accepted to college, I finally was able to enroll myself in a Cosmetology school! I soaked up everything and graduated at 40. I assisted under a master stylist for a year who was a huge fan of Sam Villa, she had all his shears, combs, hot tools, clips, etc. and since she was my mentor, I followed her footsteps and invested in all Sam Villa! I watched his videos and soaked everything up....and there my journey behind the chair began. I now am an independent stylist and continue to expand my knowledge and craft through education....Sam Villa is one of my go to's for that!! I was able to meet him in person a few years back when he did a class in Northern California....it was a dream come true!! To be able to be mentored by him would be a full circle moment for me!
