Kamryn Price

My name is Kamryn Price. I am from Dallas Texas. I am 18 years old and I am currently enrolled into Ogle school for the year of 2021-2022. I can say I've always been a dreamer , weather I was dreaming about the new car I wanted or the new shoes I wanted or most importantly the woman I saw myself becoming. The question I've always had for myself was "Who I am?" Being so young and driven you might find yourself being different or feeling out of place. Growing up I've always felt like I didn't have much in common with the kids around me so I found myself trying to fit in most of my life. It wasn't until I got 15 I discovered what it means to truly dream and make that dream come to life. Shortly after I turned 16 I worked two jobs while a junior in Highschool to get my very first car. Owning my first car was a heavy Responsibility because I had a $200 car payment every two weeks while in school. As time went on I was a senior in Highschool feeling out of place once again because everyone started looking into college and I here I was tired of working to pay off my car & was stuck on what to do with my life. Things got better when my birthday arrived and I was finally 17, one more year until I was the golden 18. This was a new year to improve myself. I was older I was growing into a young woman so what could make me stand out? That's when 424Orighairco. became a business. I was a hairstylist within 24 hours of me having a thought of running my own business. I created a instagram page and promoted my hair often to get the direct target audience I was looking for. Within my first week I was booked! It was a thrill of excitement I've never felt before! A few months later after I started my business , I found myself in a hole. A hole that was so dark I couldn't see the light of day sometimes. I didn't have a home to call home anymore. All I had was my car, the car that costs me my sanity and all of my money. I had no choice but to go live with my father who left me and my mom when I was 13. He now has a new family who made me feel like a orphan when I needed a place to turn. They told me I couldn't do hair in the house , so I lost majority of my clients. Some nights I slept on the floor wondering how I would make this work and would I become hopeless? I talked to god soon after my worrying would occur because he was the only one who could listen. He was the only one who knew I was hungry and tired and broke. Some nights my air mattress wouldn't blow up so I dreamed I had a California king bed to go home to just keep my hope alive! I knew that if I kept dreaming god would make them come true. I wanted nothing more than to get out of my situation. To be ok and living a happy life letting the world know who Kamryn Price was. I finally got myself together and left my dads house and went to my mom's and slowly got my business back and rolling. By the time I graduated highschool I thought about my dreams and enrolled into Ogle School where I started my hair journey.
