Hi, I’m Karin (not Karen—think Corrine), a retired braider and active cosmetology student with a passion for transforming hair and helping others embrace their natural beauty.
I’ve been styling hair since I was 15, specializing in braided and twisted styles . For me, hair has always been more than just a look—it’s been a personal journey of identity, self-expression, and healing.
As my craft has evolved, so has my vision. Im now shifting from a focus on braiding to luxury hair care with an emphasis on healthy hair—embracing natural textures, extensions, and protective styles. While continuing my education in cosmetology, I’m also seeking opportunities to deepen my skills in cutting, coloring, and understanding hair and scalp conditions.

Why I'm here
Growing up, my hair felt more like a burden than a blessing. After experiencing countless painful and disempowering moments as a child, I began doing my own hair at an early age, and I made a promise to myself: one day, I would create the kind of safe, loving space I never had. A space where people feel empowered to care for their hair, understand it, and love it as it is.
That promise continues to guide my work today. The most rewarding part of being a cosmetologst is witnessing transformations—not just in how clients look, but in how they feel. I believe every appointment should be a healing, affirming experience. I strive to provide that by approaching each client with patience, attentiveness, and reflective listening, ensuring they leave feeling seen, safe, and beautiful—because hair is simply an enhancement of the beauty that already lives within us.
