The universe will provide me with opportunities and room for growth.

My name is Kat, and my purpose is to provide others a space and experience to feel heard with an empathetic touch. My love for the beauty industry goes as far back as early middle school when my mom had given me cornrows, and evolved into a passion for vivid colored hair and unique haircuts helping me to express myself.
After graduating from a small town, I sought something more and found my place in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where I currently attend the Paul Mitchell School. Here, I’ve honed my craft, embraced the values of a Visionary Future Professional, and committed to creating a space where every guest feels heard, welcomed, and cared for. Outside of school, I’m a devoted mom and creative spirit who values family, growth, and connection. I’m always eager to learn, grow, and collaborate in a positive environment.

Growing up in a small town in South Dakota, I found comfort and connection through creativity. Art has been my healing force, guiding me with compassion and light through life’s most challenging chapters. In 2017, I made the decision to move to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to heal and build a better future. In 2020, becoming a parent transformed my perspective and fueled my determination to create a meaningful life.
For years, I wrestled with uncertainty about my career path. It wasn’t until I started school that I realized hairstyling was the perfect blend of art and connection that I had been searching for. Early memories, like having braided cornrows with extensions in middle school, experimenting with vivid and edgy hair in high school, or even trying a Shirley Temple perm, all pointed to a passion that was waiting to be fully realized.
Because of my story, I’ve developed a deep understanding of resilience and the value of acceptance. This has enabled me to create an open door for anyone—no matter their background or journey. Hairstyling is more than a career for me; it’s my way of empowering others to embrace their individuality and feel confident in their unique beauty.
