I started my hair journey in 2004. Originally my goal was to work in film when I met a fellow student attending cosmetology school. I thought it could be a great way to get my foot in the door with film, fashion, art, and all the things I love. I graduated in June 2005 where I began working at a Regis. While working there I continued to attend classed at the local community college in business and photography finishing with associates in Applied Science for Apparel Merchandising and Design Technology in 2012. During these years I also had a daugher and 2009 becoming a single mom a year later staying resiliant to show her there is so much we can do as women. After I finished school I began working with a local pin up photographer where I did all kinds of hair and make up for all different decades. We had clients that would come in from all over the country, many who were published in small pin up magazines. We also traveled to NYC and other state destinations for shoots. I loved the creativity I was able to have while performing this job and the oppurtunity I had to meet all kinds of amazing people. I was still working at Regis during this later moving to chair rental in about 2015. I remained at that salon until covid hit, where I ended up at my current salon as a booth renter. Those were some trying times but I took it as an oppurtunity to educate myself in other ways and to get certified in anything I could online. I also learned from those times to now that our industry is constantly changing and changing fast. This has motivated me to constantly come up with new ideas to adapt and to continuously research trends in our ever evolving world.
Outside of my work life I would call myself a pretty quirky busy person. I'm open minded and will give almost anything a try. I'm a mom but also love staying active in all kinds of coed sports. I love concerts, festivals, and any new event or experience. I'm passionate about making sure my daughter, and her friends, know how amazing they are and all the great things they can achieve. It's something I also enjoy with my clients when they're experiencing rough times, lifting them up while giving all the advice I have to push through to the other end. I feel very lucky to be where I am in life and that so many people trust me with more then their hair.
After 19 years in the hair industry I'm looking for possibilities and oppurtunities to branch out into other avenues in this industry. I'm never done growing and always excited about new adventures. I'm ready for a new transition in the hair world.
