Keyla Santiago

My name is Keyla Santiago. I often go by Keke or Chachi. I use She/They pronouns. I'm 31 years old and have been attending the Aveda Arts Institute of Seattle (formerly Gary Manuel Aveda Institute). I started off (around 14) mostly doing my family members hair, from learning the art of the blow out, applying color to my mother's head, and learning to braid from my sister. By then time I graduated high school I was known around my neighborhood for doing people's hair. A trait that would follow me to college and beyond. I attended college at the University of Vermont and would often end up doing my friends hair for special events, or creative hair color ideas. My aspirations for my career are to be able to work on runways, in theatrical productions, to create art with hair. I want to make people look and feel their best. I love hair transformations and devoting myself to the person in the chair at the time.
