The reasons I went into the beauty industry go far beyond the surface level. I lost my mother to her battle with cancer. She was diagnosed with Cervical cancer in September of 2022, beat that, but then the doctors found that cancer had riddled her body throughout her bones and there was nothing they could do. Moving back home, and helping my dad take care of her truly opened my eyes to an entirely different view on life. I have worked in the medical field for 13 years, and been in management for 4 of them, but nothing can quite prepare you for the pain you feel as a daughter, taking care of your dying mother. Throughout her battle, I became her beautician in all areas and she loved the way I would cut and style her hair, and do her makeup. All of my life I have dabbled in hair coloring, trimming, cutting and different styles with my family and friends but seeing the glow in my mother made me realize I no longer wanted to be a part of the traditional Corporate America chain of command. I decided to take a leap at 33 years old and dive head first into beauty school to help make people feel the way I could help my mom to feel, beautiful, heard and most importantly, special. I am dedicated to helping clients find their beauty, inside and out.
