My fiance at the time asked me to come with her and give her mo support when she went to sign up for cosmetology school. During her tour I looked up what you had to do to become a loctician for deadlocking and found out you need a cosmetology license to perform those services in New Hampshire.
after the tour she was signing up and both her and the administratio, joking asked if I was signing up too. I had been considering it but thought how much I could pamper and treat my fiance if I did and after looking up the loctician info I surp them both with a "yes".
We started in the same class and although our first few weeks we had a lot of issues and she ended up having to take a leave of absence and joined the next class for cosmetolog. it took me awhile to regain my stride without her there with me but when I did I realized I love doing hair and wanted to specialize in cosplay, coloring, makeup in addition to the loctician services I was originally interested in.
We have since gone our separate ways but hair has become a passion for me I plan to hold on to.
having the support and love from friends and family where I've moved back home to Michigan have changed everything for me now and my dreams are slowly coming to reality.
My bigger goals are to open a Salon with my fiancé and travel to festivals and conventions where we can apply our services. My goals for the industry are to be able to do cosplay costumes and design from the clothing to the outfits, to makeup and hair designs, even nails and props.
I have my own dreadlocks but would love to be able to service others in that area and enjoy both thermal and long hair design.
ive also aimed toward vending at festivals and music events doing braids and extensions and makeup and body art.
