Kylie Sepulveda

I strive to live a fulfilling life as an artist. I was raised in El Paso, Texas and moved to Dallas after graduating high school.

In Dallas I attended The Art Institute of Dallas under the Media Arts and Animation program. There I learned about posting my work on a public forum for students and instructors to review. However I discovered that the artistic medium was primarily digital and I prefer mediums that are more tangible and hands on. I dropped out of school and focused on getting jobs to get by until I figured out a new career plan.

During those years I was introduced to a brand-new booming trend: cosplay. It is a form of self expression that comes from dressing as fictional characters from popular media and then showing them off at conventions. I realized there is incredible business potential in this hobby such as wig making and styling and makeup.

This lead me down the path to learn more and potentially build a career around these mediums which is when I decided to enroll in cosmetology school.
