My name is Lexie Hooks and I am a student at milan institute, I am a reative and detail-oriented cosmetology student with a passion for bold hair color, alternative styles, and helping clients feel confident in their self-expression. I specialize in vivid colors, unique placements, and personalized looks that balance creativity with hair health. Known for being friendly, approachable, and attentive, I strive to create a welcoming experience where clients feel comfortable exploring styles that reflect their personality.

I’m here because I want to turn creativity into a career that truly helps people feel confident, seen, and comfortable in their own skin. My passion is alternative hair and color — from vivid transformations to unique, expressive styles — and my goal is to become one of the top alternative and color specialists in the Reno and Sparks area.
What makes this journey especially meaningful to me is my commitment to creating a sensory-friendly and understanding environment for my clients. As someone who is on the autism spectrum and experiences sensory challenges myself, I understand how overwhelming salon visits can sometimes feel. Because of that, I strive to provide a space where clients feel safe, respected, and cared for, with patience, clear communication, and accommodations when needed.
I want every person who sits in my chair to leave not only loving their hair, but also feeling comfortable, confident, and genuinely beautiful. My mission is to combine technical skill, creativity, and empathy to build a career that makes a positive difference in my community.
