Lily VanSeveren

I’m a 22-year-old cosmetology student at Aveda Institute Des Moines with an Associate degree from Kirkwood Community College and a lifelong interest in hair and beauty. I was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa, where I developed a passion for volleyball that taught me the importance of teamwork, discipline, communication, and commitment.

I’ve always thrived in hands-on environments where I can be creative, stay active, work with others, and have the freedom to express myself. My love for hair and makeup started at a young age, and pursuing cosmetology has allowed me to turn something I’ve always enjoyed into a career I’m genuinely passionate about. I especially love helping people feel confident, comfortable, and like the best version of themselves.

As I continue my education, I’m excited to keep building my technical skills and learning from experienced professionals. I’m especially interested in lived-in color, blonding, and styling, including updos and bridal hair, and I’m excited to continue exploring these areas as I grow in the industry.
