Madison Battersby

My passion for beauty began in middle school when I had my makeup done at the MAC store at my local mall for the first time. I remember how seen, heard, and confident I felt walking away from that experience, and it has stayed with me even after all these years.

That moment inspired me to pursue a career in the beauty industry, I went to cosmetology school at Paul Mitchell the School Roanoke where I became a licensed cosmetologist. While working behind the chair, I discovered that although I appreciated the artistry of hair, what truly excited me was education, product knowledge, how products are developed from start to finish and being able to connect with consumers.

From there, I transitioned into beauty advisor roles and continued growing within the industry, eventually becoming a freelance Brand Ambassador and then a Keyholder at MAC Cosmetics an experience I absolutely loved a real full circle moment for me.

I’m currently finishing my Bachelors degree in Business, and I hold multiple certifications in cosmetic science because I’m deeply passionate about understanding formulas and how products are developed.

The world today can feel a little cold sometimes, and I believe beauty has the power to create moments of connection and excitement. Whether it’s helping someone discover a product they love or just getting excited about makeup with them during during a quick stop in Ulta or Sephora, I love making that impact in someones day even if it’s just for ten minutes.
