“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.”

One day, I would love to relocate to somehwere out of the country. Maybe not permanently, or maybe so. (However I was raised a Navy brat so I don't think I can grasp the concept of permanent). However, I'd like to at least have the opportunity to travel to many places, espcially out of the country and often for business opportunities, educational opportunities, teaching opportunities, etc.
I love art. I love beauty. I love self acceptance partnered with self love. I am passionate about inner beauty and strength. I believe a happy soul, is a healthy soul, which in turn reflects a beautiful soul inside that radiates through the outside. I believe beauty and self-image can of course play a factor in how you feel and present yourself. And that is my job. To enhance your natural beauty so you can feel your most beautiful, divine self giving you the freedom to explore who you are truly meant to become.
When I'm not painting a brush on a canvas, I'm painting hair, adding textures with scissors, and creating movement through lines and shapes. I'm placing complimetitive color pallettes onto gorgeous complextions, all of which being tailored to each individual client.
I love what I do. I take pride in what I do. And my biggest priority is transparency with my clients. I am certain to be clear on how we can achieve their dream hair with the healthiest possible approach in mind, all done in the most realistic and reasonable time frame. Ideally, all while staying within their budgeg. Although this isn't always possible, being real, honest, and up front about the cost, time, and quality assurance is a crucial part to an excellent salon experience. While what they really want may be out of their budget, and my time, I always strive to give them the best possible alternative to make them feel as close to their dream hair as possible, leaving just as, or more confident then before. I usually go to a lived in approach, saving them time and money through longevity and less up keep. That is why I love lived in color so much. A soft enhancement can do so much by doing so little and can last months before needing to return to the salon.
But that doesn't mean I don't love and adore my platinums. Something about a classic foil application, or a bleach and tone is so soothing, relaxing and oh so satisfying.
I believe that the most important part of being a hair dresser is to care. My number one goal, my intention behind all the work that I do, my priority, is without a doubt, maintaining the integrity of the hair to it's truest, most natural state possible. Even with perfect placement and the absolute perfect tone, truly beautifully executed work can only present itself, on unhealthy hair, at best an 8, even if the artistic work itself is a 10. Hair color can only look as good as it is healthy.
Now, when I'm not behind the chair, or the dollhead, or the screen watching educational videos, or at a new class, I am a visual artist; so you will probably find me behind a canvas or some other type of medium.
