About me
My name is Malorie Ruth and I am a future professional at Paul Mitchell The School Columbus. I have been extremely interested in cosmetology as I have known I wanted to be a hairstylist since I was ten years old. As a student, I am hoping to grow my skills and become more knowledgeable in blonding, barbering, and all other areas of cosmetology.
I am a very humorous person as I love to giggle and make jokes, but I also take my profession very seriously. I tend to be a perfectionist and always want my work to be the best it can be. One of my biggest influences is someone that has given me the advice of being “hard like an egg.” To me, this means being able to handle challenges, learn from them, and keep going even when things get difficult. This is something I want to carry with me throughout cosmetology school and my career.
One of my favorite parts of cosmetology is that I get to include mathematics in my career. I love that cosmetology is not only creative, but also involves precision, measurements, and problem-solving.

I’m here at Paul Mitchell The School Columbus to achieve my lifelong goal of becoming a hairstylist. I have always known that I wanted to work in the beauty industry, and now I am here to learn and turn that dream into a career. I want to grow my abilities in all aspects of cosmetology while also becoming as personable as possible so I can make everyone I work with feel welcomed and comfortable.
I am here to learn from my instructors, grow from my experiences, and become the best professional I can be. My goal is to eventually own my own professional salon where I can share my creativity, build relationships with my clients, and make people feel confident in themselves.
