Mane Characters is a sensory-friendly salon in Metro Atlanta founded by Alysia Lucas, a Licensed Cosmetologist and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with over seven years of experience in early behavioral intervention. Inspired by her work with individuals on the autism spectrum, Alysia completed cosmetology training at Paul Mitchell The School Esani in 2023 and created a haven where haircuts are stress-free for clients with autism, special needs, and sensory processing disorders. Every visit begins with a personalized consultation to understand each client's unique sensory preferences and needs. Services include haircuts, pairing sessions, nail trimmings, and home visits by request — all delivered with compassion, flexibility, and care.
