About Me, Marcey Grant Janni | Look Beyond Beauty™
I am a woman who sees beauty through the lens of healing, inside and out.
My name is Marcey Grant Janni, and I am the founder of Look Beyond Beauty™, a holistic brand that bridges the worlds of cosmetology, trichology, wellness, and emotional healing. I am a Licensed Cosmetologist with over 25 years of experience, a Certified Trichologist, a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner (AADP), and a Certified Cranial Prosthesis Specialist.
My journey began behind the salon chair, where I styled hair with passion, but over the years, I began to see a deeper story beneath every strand. Many of my clients weren’t just looking for beauty; they were seeking confidence, understanding, and restoration. I realized that hair loss and scalp issues weren’t just physical, they were connected to trauma, health challenges, autoimmune disorders, and emotional pain. That realization transformed my mission.
Today, Look Beyond Beauty™ is more than a beauty brand. We are bridging the gap between beauty and wellness, standing on the front lines where traditional beauty services end, and deeper care begins. As a trichologist, I often serve as the middle voice between the client and the dermatologist, listening with empathy, assessing holistically, and guiding each woman toward healing from the inside out.
Look Beyond Beauty™ is a space where women of all backgrounds can talk openly about hair loss, identity, and wellness without judgment, and feel seen, understood, and supported. I serve clients facing alopecia, cancer, hormone imbalances, and emotional trauma, providing insurance-covered medical wigs, scalp and lifestyle consultations, detox programs, and personalized wellness coaching. Every service is rooted in my belief that beauty begins where healing begins, at the root.
From styling celebrities to earning crowns as Ms. Beverly Hills (2007) and Ms. California American Queen (2007) to being honored with the Woman of Integrity Award for advocacy and psoriasis education, my life’s work has always been about empowering women through truth, confidence, and care.
Look Beyond Beauty™ isn’t just what I do. It’s who I am.

Why I'm here
I’m here because I’ve always been all about beauty, from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet. But over time, I realized true beauty isn’t just physical. It’s emotional. It’s educational. It’s healing.
I’m here as a voice for the women who’ve been overlooked, misunderstood, and misdiagnosed, the ones suffering in silence with hair loss, identity wounds, or confidence struggles. The ones at the heart of my Inside Out Beauty™ Healing Pyramid.
Through Look Beyond Beauty™, I serve all hair textures, because I’ve worked with them all. I understand that every root tells a story, and every crown deserves to be honored. My work is about more than hair, it’s about bringing knowledge, awareness, and healing through beauty, with love and compassion.
