Hello, my name is Maria and welcome to my journey.

I am a mother of two beautiful boys and three bonus daughters, i have always had a passion for hair since I was little but finally started to expand my curiousity in high school. I began helping friends with proms or formals and even took on a few salon employee roles to get an idea of what it would be like to manage my own salon one day. I started my cosmetology journey in 2019 I was with child and in October when I started shortly after in December 2019 I broke my hand and had no choice but to take a LOA when that took place i had my son March of 2020 which put my leave on longer and with Covid and my big kids being out of school and juggling a new baby it wasnt doable. I came back July 2020 and got Covid so I had to take ANOTHER leave. Then I started to miss school more and more which has caused me to fall so far behind in my education and carrer. Just recently in June 2021 I admitted myself into rehab for alcohol and had to withdraw from the program to be able to take time for myself because I was not okay and now I am proudly 167 days sober and doing the best I can to get my life back on track.
