Skin care is cumulative

Mariko Steward - Esthetician
Vision Statement:
“To create a place of sanctuary, a culture of wellness, and a community of social connection.”
Mission Statement:
“To provide every client with an experience that inspires relaxation, promotes wellness, and encourages optimism.”
These endeavors align with my Core Values:
Knowledge and Education - My clients deserve accurate and timely information. Part of my service is to educate them about the best skin care options for their individual skin.
Skill and Training - Learning is a lifelong pursuit. I am committed to continuing education and advancement of my skill sets to provide the highest quality of service.
Respect and Self-Respect - The relationships created by my service is the heart of my practice. It is my relationship with myself that determines my daily mindset though and I want to encourage healthy relationships with myself and between others.
Simplicity and Slow Pace - My ability to slow down the pace and provide a place of quiet peace is as much a part of the service I provide as the technical skill, product knowledge, and equipment proficiency.
Be Humble for the Long-Term - Success, overall, does not depend on one moment. It is not restrained by achievement or failure. It has no due date. Success is a statement of status at any given time along life’s journey. Even in moments of achievement, of success, I often look forward to the next challenge or adventure. So, I should dream of my future and plan for the long-term remembering that success is earned, but the journey is perpetual.

Social connections and education are a major part of why I am pursuing a career in the esthetics industry. Feeling good and looking good go hand in hand with skin health and self care. Being a part of improvement in quality of life for others is the most satisfying and gratifying aspect of the skin care profession. Collaborating with others and joining in the beauty industry with professionals from other specialities such as nails, makeup, and hair can only serve to enhance our collective knowledge and skill sets.
