About me

The thrilling saga of my career—now with more plot twists!

Some people just know what they’re meant to do—I've always felt that way about hair.

I grew up in Toledo, Ohio, a hardworking blue-collar city far from the glamour of Hollywood. But I envisioned a future bigger than the world I knew and set my sights on Los Angeles, determined to build a career in hair and beauty. What started as a dream of working with celebrities evolved into something even greater: a passion for education.

My career has taken me across six continents, where I’ve had the privilege of teaching and mentoring thousands of hairstylists—from students just starting out to seasoned pros looking to refine their craft. As a global platform artist for John Paul Mitchell Systems, I helped shape Paul Mitchell The School’s Advanced Academy and was honored to receive the North American Hairstylist of the Year Award for my expertise in multicultural hair.

Through years of hard work, I landed opportunities to work on major productions like The Voice, So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars, Will & Grace, and films including Top Gun: Maverick, Babylon, and the Oscar-winning The Artist. I’ve also been a personal hairdresser to some of Hollywood’s biggest names, created looks for fashion runways and editorial shoots, and was honored with an Emmy nomination for my work.

But after 40 years in this industry, what matters most to me are the relationships I’ve built with the people who sit in my chair—a diverse mix of creatives, professionals, and industry insiders who trust me not just for my skills, but for the authenticity I bring to every client.

One of my proudest moments? Being inducted into my high school Hall of Fame. It was a full-circle moment—proof that the girl from a humble Midwest town, once told by her careers teacher to pursue a “real job,” had turned her heart’s passion into her life’s purpose.
