Michaela McCoy

My name is Michelle McCoy and I own Civil Savage Salon in St. Petersburg, Florida. We are located in the very trendy Grand Central arts- entertainment district, right on Central Avenue.

I was born in Austria and started my four-year apprenticeship in Vienna when I was 15. Educated and trained by professionals from Vidal Sassoon, I specialized in lived-in hair, the precise cutting technique that adds effortless volume and movement to any texture. I believe that lived-in hair is a way of cutting, not so much the way it’s styled. Lived-in hair is very popular at my salon because I am able to use this cutting technique to customize each client’s specific needs and hair type. I was also, of course, trained in coloring.

After working for three high end salons in Vienna, I opened my own salon in 2004, where I continued to educate and train my employees, which has always been a passion of mine.
