Mickensey Dixon

Hi! I'm Mickensey, 28 years old and I grew up in the Chicago suburbs. I went to beauty school during high school and absolutely fell in love with it. This year will mark my 10 year anniversary of doing hair, I can't believe it. The quote "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life" couldn't fit more perfectly. It is so rewarding you can make someone’s day by good conversation and transforming their hair. My favorite moment is when you turn them around in the chair and you see their smile radiate. My clients aren’t just my clients, they’re like family to me. That is why I love my job. In 2020 I made the risky leap of opening up my own salon suite in North Aurora and I’ve never been happier. Outside of the salon a few fun things about me is I really enjoy traveling, especially spontaneous trips. I just purchased a camper that will allow my dog and I to do all of the fun things! Second my family is everything to me, without them I wouldnt be who i am today!
