About me
Saludos! My name is Mireya and I am in the cosmetology program here at TSPA Appleton. Although I have only tasted the cherry on the ice cream, I am really loving everything—especially haircutting! Which is what I plan to further educate myslef on.
I consider myself gentle, organized, and giving. I take pride in my ability to be punctual because I believe every second is too important to be wasted.
My future plans begin staying within the state of Wisconsin for 5 to7 years. I'll focus primarliy on hair cutting and styling techniques along with makeup, manicures, pedicures, facials, and body waxing.

Why I'm here
As I watched CNN10's Carl Azuz talk about the free haircutting services hairstylists were providing for the homeless in New York City, something in my mind clicked. Unsure of what career I wanted to pursue for the rest of my life, cosmetology became a possibility that day.
Volunteering throughout high school made me realize that I wanted to create an impact for those less fortunate. Part of changing the world requires self confidence and I want to provide that self confidence for others.
I plan to focus on uplifting the homeless through my passion of hair cutting.
