Hello, my name is Monica and I have been a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Maryland for over 10 years. I absolutely love the beauty industry and always have since I was a little girl.  When I was teenager I would roller set my own hair and style it. That led me to doing a few friends from school & some family members hair. I would shampoo, blow dry & style anyone who would let me! I graduated cosmetology school & began my beauty career. I'm passionate about my work. I get to meet new people, I love that I'm able to transform and enhance the way people look & feel. This industry has allowed me to meet some amazing people from all around the world. Many friendships were made. I have traveled the country to learn from some of the best in the industry. There's always something new to learn whether it's a new technique to achieve a look or a trade show hosting hundreds of brands.  Going to different classes and seeing all the platform artists just makes you love the beauty industry.  I have worked for a product company for a few years which was a great experience. I got amazing training to keep my skills updated and keep my clients looking fabulous, lol.  I love helping others in any way I can. I'm always willing to learn from anyone who will teach. I love learning about the latest trends & discuss it with clients. Caring for the integrity of the hair is mandatory for me. That's one reason I became a trichology practitoner. Healthy hair is good hair not the texture. So many people suffer from hair loss or thinning hair I felt like as a "professional" I had to do my part and help them with real solutions whether its hair replacement or therapy treatments. I also added eyelash extention services to my resume. Who knows what I'll do next!!
