If you want the rainbow then you gotta deal with the rain

I was born in Baker City, Oregon but soon after my dad was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. Later on we moved back to Colorado. My parents split and we ended up moving to North Carolina where I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I then moved to Irrigon, Oregon where I met my now husband since 2019. We have three beautiful children, two girls and one boy.
I had an interest in hair back when i was in grade school and I was always doing everyones hair since Junior High. I worked with my Aunt who was a professional dog groomer and thats when i picked up my first pair of shears. I need started cutting hair not long before that.
I waited to start school because of my children and because of my type 1 diabetes. I was always told that because of my diabetes I wouldn't be able to do much with my life. I decided that I was going to show them wrong and I applied to Victorias Academy of Cosmetology. I found a great group of teachers who have been showing me the way.

The question of "Why am I here" can be a loaded question. But to put it bluntly I like making people feel good about themselves. The biggest thing that always made me feel good about myself was my hair. Especially after I got my perm.
Dear Perms,
from your timely wraps to your finished bouncy curls. The way you frame my face and just make me feel so confident. You wake up and all you gotta do is scrunch those curls and you're good to go.
I love the mornings when all I have to do is wake up and run my fingers through my curls and take on the day. No matter what is thrown my way during the day you stand strong. You make me feel like the best version of myself.
You've trooped with me through the bad days. You stay with me through the frustration of a styling mishap. You are a shoulder that I lean on and make me feel like I can take on anything. You are not just a hairstyle but a part of me or an extension of me. You are fun, bubbly, and classy just like myself.
So thank you for being you. For helping me feel like the best version of myself. Thank you for giving me a break when it comes to styling you.
