My mom always told me, "do what you love and love what you do." After spending 3 years in a university trying to complete a degree that I could never imagine spending the rest of my life doing, I decided it was time for a change. It was time to follow my passion of hair and makeup. Ever since I was a little girl I was always fascinated with hair and makeup. I was always trying to doll myself up with my Claire's eyeshadow quads and Lipsmacker lipgloss. As I got older I became more adventurous with my looks. I was exploring different ways to style my hair and do my makeup every day. Now not all of my looks were pretty but at least I tried. Practice makes progress. I kept practicing and watching videos, looking at instagram pictures. I had finally found what I loved and wanted to do for the rest of my life. As a cosmetology student and salon assistant, I am doing what makes me happy. Which is making other people be happy and feel good about themselves. Hair stylists are a rare breed of amazing and talented artists. Our work is on display every second of the day and I live for clients not looking good but feeling good about themselves. And I love being the person to help them do just that.
