About me
Hello! My name is Mya Gillis and I am an esthetics student at Aveda institute in Chapel Hill. I have always been interested in skin and the science behind it since a very young age. I am 19 years old and I graduated high school in 2022 and that fall I went to the University of North Carolina At Greensboro to major in psychology.I quickly realized that the "normal" college exexperience and environment wasn't for me. After I came home I thought about what I would want to do and looked into esthetics and fell in love. I have always been interested in makeup and loved watching makeup toutorials on YouTube and skincare routines since probably 2014.

Why I'm here
I am here because I want to be an esthetician who specializes in any and everythin. I want clients to be able to come to me with any skin care questions and needs. My goal is to become the best esthetician around where I'm from and create a safe space for clients to come and feel comfortabl,safe and welcomed into my space where when they walk in they can relax and breathe and forget everything else going on in their life in the time my services take. My grandma Carol who recently just passed away in May of this year really inspired and motivated me to become and esthetician and get my caree in the beauty industry started. I have always been interested and inspired my esthetician since I got my first facial around 8 years old.
