Hello! My name is Nadia Rivera, and I am a 20-year-old cosmetologist, makeup artist, and nail technician. I specialize in creative, outside-the-box work that pushes artistic boundaries and results in truly unique, beautiful looks. I enjoy exploring a wide range of styles across hair, makeup, and nail artistry.
My background in musical theater, acting, dance, and visual arts—including drawing, painting, and coloring—strongly influences my creative approach and attention to detail. As a person, I am fun, personable, and genuinely enjoy connecting with others and building meaningful conversations.
Beyond my work, I am a fun, personable individual who values genuine connection and meaningful conversation. I love astrology and embrace my nerdy side through anime, manga, and animation. I am constantly inspired to grow, evolve, and explore new creative possibilities, and I look forward to continuing my journey in the beauty industry.

Why I'm here
I am pursuing cosmetology because creativity has always been at the core of who I am. From a young age, I expressed myself through drawing and coloring, recreating what I saw on television or imagined in my mind. Growing up surrounded by artists and creatives—especially my mother and cousins—deeply influenced my appreciation for art and self-expression.
As I got older, I discovered that same creative connection through cosmetology and nail design. Beauty became the medium where my artistic instincts and technical skills could come together. I knew that cosmetology was not just an interest, but the path I wanted to commit to as an adult and a career that felt aligned with my purpose.
I am here to gain the proper education, certifications, and licensure needed to practice cosmetology and nail design professionally. Paul Mitchell Chicago felt like the perfect fit from the very beginning. From my first tour, I connected with the staff and the school’s culture, and I knew it was where I was meant to be. After that experience, enrolling felt like a natural and confident decision.
Since starting my education at Paul Mitchell, I have learned so much and have been given opportunities that continue to shape my growth as an artist and professional. I am truly grateful to be part of this community. Cosmetology is my passion, and I am excited and fully committed to the journey ahead.
