Like many girls I knew I was destined for the beauty industry when I would chop off my Barbie's hair and steal my mom's makeup to play "makeover" with my cousins. Unfortunately, as I grew up I was told by many that "doing makeup wasn't a real career". After graduating high school I followed the path other's wanted for me but no matter what career I went into, I was never happy. My life changed in 2017 when a co-worker introduced me to Summit Salon Academy and encouraged me to "quit my day job and follow my heart". We joke at Summit that I loved it so much, I never left! I made it my personal mission to tell everyone I met about this amazing community who taught me about the happiness project, how it changed my life, and how it can change theirs too.
