I always knew I wanted to make others feel good. When I graduated High School my parents convinced me to go to a community college. That only worked for 1 semester. I quickly realized that makeup and hair styling was what I really wanted to do. My parents not approving of me not going for a “real job” would not help me pay for my education. I joined the Marine Corps to help cover the costs of going back to school. I was active duty for 5 years working on aircrafts but I still found myself helping others with their skin care routines and helping my Marines' spouses with their makeup and hair for our annual balls. I also got married and had two gorgeous kids. My daughter seems to be following in my footsteps always wanting to do my makeup for me. After my time on active duty I was finally able to use my GI Bill to get the education I needed to get my license. I received my cosmetology license in June 2019. I am currently set to graduate from Aesthetics at Artistic Academy January 2020 and start Massage therapy in March.
