Nicole Myers

Hello! My name is Nicole Myers and I am an Apprentice Nail Technician, Pro Makeup Artist, and Cosmetology Student. I have been doing makeup since I was 10 years old. I did my aunt's bridal party at 13 and my mom's bridal party at 16. I have had 10 years of experience in the makeup industry. I am completely self-taught and beauty is my passion in all capacities. I graduated high school a year early in 2020 and had my heart set on nursing. I am an extremely kind, empathetic, compassionate, and caring person. I thought that the medical field was the only place that I could use those characteristics to their full potential but I was wrong. Makeup has always been my hobby and now I am making it my profession. To be honest, when I started cosmetology school I was not passionate about hair at all. I had my heart set on bridal makeup. Bridal is still my favorite thing but I have found a love for hair, skin, and nails. The week I started cosmetology school I left my full-time salary job to take a risk and do something that I love. I reached out to my old nail technician and she said that she has always known this is what I wanted to do and she said she would love to mentor me. I decided I wanted to put in the work to become an Apprentice Nail Technician. This completely changed my life and I found something I loved to do as much as makeup. Working alongside my boss has given me so many opportunities and a new outlook on the industry. Next month I will be able to sit for my Nail Technician State Boards. By the end of 2024, I will be dual licensed!
