“If it makes you happy, do it”

My name is Nicole but that has never fit me.. So for as long as I can remember, I have been called Nikkii! Starting at a young age I definitely took a liking to the punky/edgey style that not many people around me had, and was always the black sheep of my family... As I got older I never really grew out of my edgey personality and decided that instead of being a "black sheep" I wanted to be a person that every one feels like they can be themselves around. So, now I do hair and opened a salon and barbershop at 23 years old and cater to some of the most down to earth, punky, and edgey kids that grew up to be adults just like me! Creating an eccentric space every one feels welcome, comfortable and undeniably themselves has been one of my greatest accomplishments. Learning new techniques and continuing education has been very important to me. I've attended many hair shows in NYC, Orlando, Philadelphia and Connecticut. Going to these shows and taking the classes gives not only more knowledge but also gives a new sense of inspiration, that I would love to be able to share with other people.

Ever since I was in middle school I have loved teaching and helping my peers! I coached cheerleaders while I was growing up and then got to highschool and was a tutor in my cosmetology program! I love breaking down skills and really helping people understand how the techniques they use will affect the outcome. I also think educating others is a great way to develop a better understanding of your craft. New questions constantly force you to find new answers and speaking the answers helps you retain and understand the information better yourself! I'm here to hopefully get the opportunity to take my career from behind the chair to educating as well!
