Trust the process-Live, Love, Laugh

My journey with hair began at the age of 14, the day I mastered my very first three-strand braid. That simple accomplishment sparked a love for hairstyling that would shape my life. From there, I became the go-to hairstylist in my neighborhood, practicing on myself, friends, and family. Known for redoing my own hair two to three times a month, I used every opportunity to hone my skills and showcase my creativity—even before the days of social media, when word of mouth and consistent work were my strongest tools.
Despite a challenging childhood, I channeled my passion into consistent growth. Years later, I pursued my cosmetology license, but with just under 500 hours to go, the school I attended unexpectedly closed. None of my credits could transfer, and I found myself at a crossroads. I chose to focus on supporting and raising my three daughters, stepping into corporate life while keeping my passion alive by styling their hair and continuing to create in the way I knew best.
As my daughters grew older and more independent, I saw the opportunity to finally reignite my dream. Hairstyling has always been at the center of my joy—it’s more than a skill; it’s a source of laughter, therapeutic conversations, teaching, and mentoring. A few months ago, I enrolled at AVEDA Institute to complete my licensure and take my craft to the next level. This feels like the perfect time and place to bring my vision to life.
For me, hair has always been more than a profession—it’s my way of connecting with people, bringing out their beauty, and creating moments of happiness and confidence. I’m excited to continue growing, learning, and thriving in an industry that has been part of my heart from the very beginning.

I am here to connect with like-minded individuals, and inspire others who may have faced setbacks in pursuing their passions. Whether you’re a fellow hairstylist, a client, or someone just exploring the beauty industry, I’m here to share my story, celebrate the artistry of hair, and build meaningful connections. I believe every person’s story has value, and I hope mine encourages someone to keep striving for their dreams, no matter the obstacles.
