About me
Hi, I'm Paige! I am a cosmo student, queer woman and professional football player. I am driven to pursue a career in cosmetology that transcends mere aesthetics. My passion is to create a sanctuary where underserved communities, particularly the LGBTQ+ and curly/textured hair communities, find solace, empowerment and beauty. This vision is deeply personal, stemming from my own experiences and connections.
As I have come into adulthood, I have witnessed the transformative power of inclusive spaces. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I understand the significance of safe havens where individuals can express themselves authentically. My goal is to establish a cosmetology practice that not only celebrates diversity but also fosters community

Why I'm here
My primary objective is to master techniques tailored to curly and textured hair types, addressing the longstanding lack of expertise in this area. By doing so, I aim to serve my football team, comprised primarily of women of color, providing them with the care and styling they deserve.
Knowledgeable haircuts and curly hair care hold immense power for minority communities, particularly women of color. For centuries, textured hair has been stigmatized, leading to cultural erasure and beauty standards that prioritize straight hair. Expertise in curly hair care reverses this narrative, celebrating unique textures and promoting self-love. By understanding and embracing their natural hair, individuals reconnect with their heritage and identity. Accessible, culturally sensitive hair services also foster community, break down barriers and address historical inequalities.
