Payton McBride

Hello! My name is Payton, and I am 20 years old. I grew up in the small town of Coldwater, Michigan, where I currently live now. I lived in Coldwater until my sophomore year of high school, when I moved to Rio Rancho, New Mexico, for about two years. After that, I moved back to Michigan and attended Comstock Park High School in Grand Rapids, commuting to school every day. I graduated in 2024.

During my senior year, I had the privilege of living with my grandparents. My grandmother was the Special Education Director at the high school I attended, which gave me an incredible opportunity to work with younger students for half of my school day. That experience helped me discover and grow my passion for working with children with disabilities. I truly loved being able to make a difference in their lives and build meaningful connections with them.

Early last year, Coldwater Community Schools was looking for additional help, and I was fortunate enough to get a job working in Special Education. This opportunity has allowed me to continue doing something I genuinely love and has made me even more passionate about working with children and helping them reach their goals.

I am also incredibly excited to begin my journey into cosmetology. I have always had a passion for beauty, creativity, and making people feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. I am looking forward to learning new skills, meeting new people, and turning my passion for cosmetology into something I can be proud of. I am excited to see where this new journey takes me and all of the opportunities that come with it.

I love being outdoors, spending time with children and animals, and meeting new people. I consider myself a very outgoing, caring, and compassionate person, and I have always enjoyed connecting with others and making people feel comfortable and welcome.

I also have a wonderful boyfriend named Hayden, who has become such an important part of my life. He has helped change me into a better version of myself, and I am incredibly thankful for the person he has helped me become. I am so grateful to have him by my side and thankful for all of the love, support, encouragement, and care he gives me. He is always there for me, and I appreciate everything he does for me more than I can put into words. Being with him has taught me so much about love, patience, growth, and becoming the best version of myself.

I am grateful for all of the experiences I have had so far and for the people who have helped shape me into the person I am today. I am excited to continue growing, learning, and making a positive impact in the lives of the people I work with while pursuing something I am truly passionate about.
