About me
I’m Rachael Newell, a beauty industry professional with 18 years of experience and the owner of Gypsy Beautique, an independent salon suite in Cranston, RI. My background spans salon ownership, retail beauty management at Ulta, brand counter management for Clarins, and outside sales — giving me a 360° view of the beauty world, from product to chair to client.
I specialize in hair, makeup, and special effects services for weddings, editorial shoots, and on-location events. I’ve built my business through consultative, relationship-first service and a strong social media presence on Instagram and TikTok. I am also a certified instructor and have a passion for educating the next generation of beauty professionals.
When I’m not behind the chair, I channel my creativity into handmade beaded handbags and laser-cut design work.

Why I'm here
I am here to look for opportunities to expand my path in education. I want to experience more travel and meet new people within this industry and one of the ways that has seemed to fulfill me is educating others. It's important for me to give back to an industry that has given me so much for the last 18 years, and help guide the new generation of stylists into their journey of being the best version of themselves.
