My career journey has been diverse. Experienced the ups & downs of the retail market. Had the most rewarding & fulfilling job as a stay at home mom which entailed wearing quite a few different 'hats'. Worked my share of 9-5 office jobs which was good having a family. However, children grow & leave their nest, which would lead to another chapter in my life. In 2019 I had been working full time in retail. Then out of nowhere our world was struck by a pandemic. Being employed at an essential workplace I faced it head on & it wasn't pretty. There's always the good & ugly when it comes to any job, however, the pandemic brought the "ugly" out in the customer service industry & I hit the wall. It was time for a change. Ever since I can remember I had wanted to be a Cosmetologist. The time had arrived where I would cut back to part time & start pursuing a career that I had a passion for. June 2020 I enrolled in Cosmetology school. One year & five months later I'm staring graduation in the face. Soon I will become a licensed cosmetologist and begin a new career enabling me to express my personality with clients; creative, fun, flexible, maybe even life changing. I can't wait! It hasn't been easy, but has paid off!
